It is a good activity for both men and women to prevent reproductive ailment such as prostatitis and urinary continence. It is also a recommended exercise for those women who are to have vaginal birth. Kegel exercise can help them in preparing the pelvic floor for any stress that can be brought about by child birth.

When doing kegel exercises, you can also use the Kegel exerciser. This is a medical device that is used by women in exercising their pelvic floor. In the market today, you can find three types of kegel exercises. You can use barbells, rubber bulbs and springs. The vaginal barbells are made of smooth and solid stainless still and come in a cylindrical shape. It also has a rounded bulge at the end. Spring devices are often made from plastic and allow you to have a progressive resistance when doing the kegel exercise. On the other hand, rubber bulbs provide a visual feedback that can show you how much pressure you are using during the kegel exercise.
